Interview with Linda Labranche, an Inspiring Woman

Hello Linda, what is your role? Can you tell us about a typical workday at Isothermic?

I work in the single-hung and sliding window department.

handle the pre-assembly of window frames, depending on the model. I install several basic components, such as the sill, weatherstripping, and sash stops, according to the specific model.

How did you first hear about the company?

Isothermic is very well known in Thetford Mines, where I’ve lived my whole life.

My previous job was about 40 minutes from home, so I decided to look for work closer by. At that time, I kept seeing Isothermic ads online, and I just felt that it was meant for me.

Why did you decide to apply at Isothermic rather than elsewhere in Thetford Mines?

I enjoy hands-on work, and I think Isothermic is a great company. When the opportunity came up, I went for it. I was hired in February 2021.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Working with high-quality products, being part of a great team, feeling proud of my work, and having the satisfaction of producing a beautiful, well-made product.

My pleasure! In my department alone, there are five women, and there are many women working throughout the plant as well. In my opinion, we have a well-balanced male–female ratio. Everyone is welcome!
