Interview with France Beaudet

France, what is your role at Isothermic?

I’m a Purchasing Manager responsible for procurement.

How long have you been with the company?

In April 2024, it will be 30 years.

Wow! Have you always held this position over the years?

In the beginning, we were a very small team. I entered orders into the system because sales contracts were paper-based. I also handled some purchasing and managed service calls.

After a few years, I became responsible for after-sales service for one year. This involved processing service requests, handling purchasing, assigning work to the two service technicians on the road, and following up on their work. I was also responsible for supervising garage door installations and repairs.

For about 24–25 years now, I’ve been a full-time buyer.

In recent years, I’ve also been coordinating the purchasing department, as two team members now support me in this role.

What qualities are required for a position like yours?

• Attention to detail
• Initiative and the ability to seize opportunities
• Strong stress management
• Good listening skills

Which achievement are you most proud of?

Having successfully built an efficient department to maintain and control appropriate inventory levels over the years using the tools available— while also surrounding myself with a strong team, with whom I share an excellent working relationship. 

…and above all, having achieved all of this while maintaining a healthy work–life balance.

Congratulations! What motivates or inspires you in the doors and windows industry?

Its constant evolution. It’s a field that is always improving to keep up with current standards and trends.

In your opinion, what sets Isothermic apart from other companies?

Teamwork and mutual support. People can rely on one another—you’re never left on your own. When needed, there’s always someone ready to offer advice or lend a hand.
