Lulu Upgrades Her Front Door!

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the warm (and incredibly talented) singer Lulu Hughes to the Isothermic Sainte-Julie showroom, accompanied by her friend Saskia Thuot. It was a pleasure to advise her as she embarked on a home renovation project.

Lulu, thank you for your trust! We know that starting a renovation project is often something you really have to think through — especially with a busy schedule like yours. What made you decide to replace your front door recently?

I bought my house in 2018 knowing it needed a lot of love. The door had clearly seen better days — let’s just say I stretched things out for quite a while with the old one! My cousin is a contractor and helps me out with renovations at my place, and right from the start he told me that changing the door had to be a priority. In good Québec French, the door was simply “done for”!

How did you hear about Isothermic?

When I decided to replace my front door, I started looking everywhere — shopping around, asking family and friends — but I didn’t have to look very far. I quickly thought of Saskia (Thuot), who’s a friend of mine. She knows a lot about renovations thanks to the TV shows she’s hosted. Without hesitation, she immediately directed me to Isothermic. Honestly, I trust her so much and value her expertise, so I didn’t hesitate for a second! On top of that, it’s extremely important to me to support a Québec-based company — especially one that’s close to home.

Which door model did you choose?

I chose the Sydney model with frosted glass because I was looking for something that felt both contemporary and simple. I opted for black on the exterior and white on the interior. I absolutely loved this model — it perfectly reflected what I wanted in terms of both performance and design.

It was very important to me to choose a company certified by CAA Québec, and it was reassuring to know that Isothermic is also recommended by Protégez-Vous.

Did you choose a turnkey service (certified installer)?

Saskia strongly recommended the turnkey service, and I followed her advice. Since I don’t know much about renovations, it really put me at ease. I’d also like to highlight the warm welcome from the staff! Frédéric, the advisor who helped me, was incredibly attentive to my needs and guided me perfectly toward what I had in mind — without ever pushing anything. He was so friendly and incredibly patient, especially since I had a million questions!
