Human Resources Advisor

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Advisor plays a key role in supporting managers and employees. As an HR generalist, they actively contribute to the effective management of human resources, the application of HR best practices, and the continuous improvement of processes in a unionized, collaborative, and evolving manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment activities according to the allocation of files with the HR Director;
• Coordinate onboarding, integration of new employees, follow-up on integration, and performance evaluations;
• Support managers in the application of HR policies, procedures, and practices;
• Coordinate occupational health and safety prevention activities;
• Handle the complete management of workplace injury files;
• Submit training requests and ensure follow-up of training records in compliance with the 1% law;
• Act as a resource person for employees regarding all HR-related questions;
• Coordinate the organization of company social activities;
• Participate in various special projects;
• Represent the company at external events;
• Actively participate in HR department improvement projects in collaboration with the HR Director and the Payroll/HR Technician.

Profile Sought

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field;
• 2 to 5 years of experience in an HR generalist role;
• Experience in a unionized and/or manufacturing environment (an asset);
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage priorities;
• Ability to build trusting relationships with employees and managers;
• Professional, respectful, and people-oriented approach;
• Sound judgment and a high level of discretion when handling sensitive matters;
• Proficiency with computer tools and the MS Office suite;
• Ability to communicate clearly in French, both orally and in writing;
• Good understanding of HR practices in Quebec;
• Autonomy, initiative, and team spirit;
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving environment.
